Sorry for the intrusion - Robbie Rowlands

Robbie Rowlands is a Melbourne based artist whose work explores the stability we take for granted in everyday objects. Robbie graduated from The Victorian College of the Arts in 1999 and studied at the Pratt Institute, New York as part of an exchange program. In 2010 Robbie had a major solo exhibition, Grace in Ruin, at the Gippsland Art Gallery, Victoria. In the same year he was also shortlisted for the McClelland Sculpture Award with Fell for Silo, a 1950s wheat silo sourced from a farm in the town of Charlton Victoria, and a 10m pine tree felled and reconfigured on site. At the end of 2011, Robbie’s work appeared in a new edition of a book called Principles of Living by Kevin McCloud.
